Are latex mattresses hot to sleep on 2

Are latex mattresses hot to sleep on?

In the 1960 and 1970’s latex mattresses were renowned for the support and comfort they provided, and the product revolutionised the bedding industry.  Unfortunately, the latex mattresses were hot.  Times have changed and so has latex mattresses manufacture.

In the 70’s the latex mattresses were one solid impermeable piece of latex with no air vents and a shiny surface, like the surface of the side of a tyre.  Moisture and heat had nowhere to go.

With changes in technology everything is different.  Scientific studies have confirmed latex to actually be cooler than some other common bedding materials such as memory foams and some polyurethane foams.  With a premium quality latex mattress, you can expect the latex itself to have hundreds of air vents throughout it which allows cooler fresh air to circulate and for moisture to dissipate.

The latex itself is no longer shiny like before which means its new look increases the surface are and further reduces moisture and heat build-up.  100% cotton stretch jersey sheeting also covers the latex mattress internally adding to its durability and ability to circulate air.  Finally, the mattresses low profile natural fibre outer cover, further reduces heat retention.

So no longer guilty your honour!
